Description
The purpose of centrifugation to separate the liquid between them in a solid or liquid.
3 types of separation are possible:
- Clarification: removal of solide particles in a liquid with a smallest density than solids
- Concentration: separation liquid-liquid with a biggest proportion of heavy phase.
- Purification: separation liquid-liquid with a biggest proportion of light phase.
The intermittent solids discharge can be used in 3 modes of separation.
Applications
Clarification of juice, oil / water separation, concentration of biomass.
