Description
Microfiltration holds mainly fat and bacteria and some of the proteins. Through the concept of filter cartridge UTP (uniform transmembrane pressure), wherein the permeate is recirculated in parallel to the retentate, the transmembrane pressure is kept constant and minimum values (TMP <0.5 bar). The development of the method by catch Bacto-Tetra-Laval has made possible the milk microfiltration on an industrial scale.
